SOMEDI project will be disseminated periodially through the news section of the Spanish technological platform for the adoption and dissemination of electronic TIC, PLANETIC and through the newsletter sent to the platform members by e-mail. In consequence and due to the scope of this technological platform, SOMEDI project results will have a greter reach within the national market.
During 23rd and 24th of November, HI-Iberia coordinated and held the SOMEDI project meeting in Madrid for month 12 of project execution. Eight people attended the meeting from the 5 companies compounding the project consortium, from Romania and Spain. During the meeting, the team worked on compiling project status (work plan and consortium status); provided details about the possible inclusion of new partners in the project consortium as well as the cooperation with other European projects, and worked in the preparation of the Year 1 project review that will take place on January, 23rd.
SoMeDi tries to solve the challenge of efficiently generating and utilising social media and digital interaction data enabled intelligence. The results of the project will give the companies competitive advantage through quicker and more automatic processes that benefit from and utilise the data about users’ intentions and preferences in various digital environments, and by being able to reach out to consumers and business users through current and emerging social media channels. SoMeDi’s goal is to unlock the value hidden in the digital content and traces of human (inter) actions through the application of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
The second meeting of SOMEDI was successfully held on Madrid last 6th and 7th July, hosted by HI-Iberia. The meeting was attended by SIVECO, BEIA, EXPERIS, TAIGER and HI-IBERIA.
During the meeting the consortium reviewed the general project status and went into detail in particular tasks as requirements and use cases definition and platform architecture details. Also a work plan was defined for future 5 months in order to prepare the annual review which will take place next January.
In addition to this, during the meeting some tasks leaderships were reassigned due to the retirement of Finnish Consortium from the project. Also a common scope was defined between Romanian and Spanish Consortium in order to develop a common platform that will be deploy in different domains based on the end user needs. The kick of meeting of the SOMEDI project took place on 23rd January at HI iberia (Madrid, Spain) headquarters.
In the meeting just current active partners were present (Spanish and Romanian ones). A review of the scope of the project, activities and management issues took place.
